Whenever a beginner asks me about a meal you cannot mess up, I direct them to this casserole recipe. For one, you’ll impress whoever you are serving the meal to. They are basic ingredients that everyone will like. The simple ingredients project such a brimming flavor every time. It could seem time consuming but it’s not! In fact, it’s such a fast and easy recipe requiring very little prepping.

Although you’ll want to start this dish a day before you serve it, it’s all a downhill process after that! You may be wondering why exactly this is necessary. You must prepare the casserole, add all your chosen ingredients, and let it rest over night to bring out the best flavors. Covering your casserole and refrigerating will let the bread absorb the liquid ingredients—in this case, cream of mushroom and chicken soup. You’ll then want to take the casserole out of the fridge an hour before you put in in the oven. Proceed to slow bake it for an hour at 350 degrees and your easy dinner is ready!
