Enhance Your French Toast!

You wake up for breakfast every day, but it’s the same story all over again. It seems like each day when you get out of bed, it’s the same mundane food and routine. But what if there was a twist that you could put on an old favorite?

French Toast is one of my favorite breakfast dishes, but I wanted to put a new spin on things, which is why I came up with this stuffed version that has become very popular with friends and family. If you love toast, apples, and whipped cream, this is a great way to get the best of all worlds for breakfast, in a single dish!

When you serve this Stuffed French Toast to your family for the first time, They’ll be thrilled at the combination of flavors and breaking away from the mundane early morning routine. Don’t be surprised if they ask you to prepare it for them on a regular basis!

RECIPE:

4 large Slices sourdough bread, crusts removed, Cubed

8 oz Cream cheese, cut into cubes (1 package)

1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled and chopped

6 Eggs

1 cup Milk

1 1/2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon

2 To 3 Tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions:

Maple, apricot, blueberry, or raspberry syrup Preheat the oven to 375F. Place half of the bread cubes in an ungreased 11 x 7-inch baking dish. Cover with the cream cheese cubes, distributing evenly. Sprinkle with the chopped apple. Top evenly with the remaining bread cubes. Beat together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon until well blended. Pour over the bread mixture in the dish. Bake for about 35 minutes or until set. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with maple or fruit syrup. Serves four.
